Social Media Is: Exploring, connecting, engaging. An excuse for us to keep in touch with old connections, a reason for brands to keep in touch with us. It’s the 21st Century’s way to tell a story!

How Did I Get Here? My passion for storytelling lead me to study film at USC and work in post-production upon graduation. That same passion lead me to social media, where I reconnected with my first love –writing. The power of content to go viral, to motivate people to make a purchase, organize a protest, support a charity, become the loyal followers of a person, a company, or a brand blew my mind. I knew this was a space where I could make an impact.

The Race I Most Want To Run: ANYTHING in wine country. There’s one in Paso Robles where the winner wins their weight in wine. Pass those potato chips, cause I’d gladly pack on a few pounds for THAT one.

The Most Curious Thing I’ve Seen This Year: Two cats being walked down the street by their owner (I can only assume), a burly man who was also carrying a pink rose. No, I’m not kidding and yes, this was in Long Beach. God I love this city.

#1 On My Bucket List: Walk the Camino de Santiago!

First Pet: PK (stands for pussy kat). An aloof siamese kat whose curiosity nearly cost him his life…many  times. I’ll tell you the stories sometime.

Social Media Is: Connection and Communication!  I can connect with old friends, new friends and BRANDS! And brands can connect and communicate with me. Social media levels the playing field. If brands and services don’t participate in social media marketing they are really missing out on the opportunity to talk with and listen to their customers.

Before Stretch Synergy, I was: Ahh. . . before Stretch my media world had been quite traditional. I spent many great years selling radio advertising in Los Angeles. In 2004  I created a branding and promotional agency, 9th Street Promotions. A few years ago I got the bug for social media marketing and, well the rest is history…
Favorite Place To Have a Glass of Wine While Catching Up on My Facebook Newsfeed: I actually love my living room! It’s quite cozy and comfortable.

Social Media Is: Where I hear directly from Cher, Newsweek and my best friends about what’s happening in my world.

If You’re Not Utilizing Video In Your Marketing Plan, You’re: Missing out on the fastest growing segment of social media and being found on the #2 search engine (YouTube).

My Background Is In:  News reporting and television production. Two time Emmy award winning journalist at your service!

If I Could Interview Any One Person On Camera, It Would Be: The Pope.

A current student at the University of Southern California, I’m studying: Broadcast/Digital Journalism with a double minor in Digital Studies and Marketing

When I’m not studying or working at Stretch, you can find me: Either binge-watching a T.V series, eating copious amounts of food, or both.

Social Media Is: Not something I ever considered a job skill! However, I’ve come to realize just how much power can be harnessed from a platform of communication specific to my generation.

If I could create a new social media platform, I’d name it: Chow

And it would be awesome because: Chow is a social media platform I’d look into developing, which is an app for the workplace as well as universities. Chow will find you a breakfast/lunch/dinner buddy with ease and efficiency. Once on the application, one just needs to enter their name, what food they’re looking to eat, and where they’d like to go. This will then be posted to different audiences of the user’s choosing (ex: only send request to Facebook friends, Twitter followers, Instagram followers, People connected to USC Wi-Fi, etc). Once there is a preliminary location match made, the two (or more) parties will be notified and may choose to accept or decline the request to have a meal together.

Stretch the Cat

City I Call Home: The world is my oyster.  Mmmmmm……seafood.

Day Job:  Managing the company’s Instagram whilst out and about.  Taking naps on keyboards while the humans prepare PowerPoint presentations. And of course, being the most fabulously curious mascot an agency could ask for.

First Pet: My human.

Social Media Is: A way for me to stay involved with the antics of my cat brethren. Also a place for me to keep abreast of the latest collar fashions, while determining which food brands really care about my personal eating habits.
